A little background information on your District 4 Commissioner.
I was born and raised in Roanoke Rapids. I participated in the local youth baseball program from age 8 up to 15 years old. There were varying degrees of success each year, but in the prehistoric days of the early 80's our team won District, State, and Divisional titles before finishing runner up in the Regionals. I later settled into Roanoke Rapids as an adult, where I coached in the local league for approximately 20 years. I have been serving as the President of the Roanoke Rapids Youth Baseball Association for 10 years and have served as the District 4 Commissioner for the last 3 years.
Melanie, my wife of 32 years, is a retired math teacher and serves as our league secretary. We have 2 children. Paige lives in Richmond and works at VCU as a Child Life Specialist. My son Clay, played for UNCW as a pitcher and currently lives in Wilmington working as a Financial Advisor for Moderm Woodmen of America. I have been employeed as the Purchasing Manager for WestRock in Roanoke Rapids for the last 8 years.
